All month I have been going on about how much I love Christmas songs and how much I love to sing them in church. Before the season started, I had a few hymns that I thought I liked more than the others. But this year, as I was singing “Away in a Manger” I learned something new. The third verse really stuck out to me, so I printed the words and put them by my computer so I could remember what I learned. I hope to live by this plea and be grateful for my savior as I go throughout the year. It reads:

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay,
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray!
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care
And take us to heaven, to Live with Thee there.
